The second Test match between India and Australia will be played at the Melbourne ground from 26 December.

In the first Test, Australia defeated India by 8 wickets and achieved a 1-0 lead in the series. The Indian team has been elected for Boxing Day cricket. The match will be played at 5 am according to Indian adjustments.

The Indian team management has replaced Shubman Gill in the team in place of Prithvi Shaw. Prithvi Shaw had scored 0 and 4 runs respectively in the first Test, so the team management has given him the place of Shubman Gill. This will be a big opportunity for the young batsman when he is seen making his debut against Australia.

There have been 4 major changes in the Indian team but Lokesh Rahul has not got a place which is being discussed.

Shubman Gill replaced Prithvi Shaw. Gill, who is going to debut in Test cricket, did very well against Australia A recently. At the same time, he has worked hard in the net practice as well.Shubman Gill to make his Test debut after averaging 68.78 in 23 first class matches.

Rishabh Pant gets chance in place of Wriddhiman Saha

Wriddhiman Saha was tested by the team management but Saha could not prove to be strong. Rishabh Pant was included in the squad in place of Saha. Pant recently scored a brilliant century against Australia A.

Ravindra Jadeja gets chance in place of VIRAT

All-rounder Jadeja has once again shown confidence in the team management and Jadeja's entry into Team India in place of VIRAT .

Injured Mohammed Shami's Jagaj Siraj joins the team

Fast bowler Siraj has joined the team in place of Shami who was ruled out of the series due to a hand injury.Lokesh Rahul did not get a chance. It will be interesting to see how the Indian team performs in the second Test match.
