IND vs AUS: Day 3, Indian team lead by 131 runs, Rahane played a captain's knock

Welcome to the day number 3.The second Test match between India and Australia is being played in Melbourne. India took a lead of 131 runs in first inning. In day 3 Indian team lost their momentum and after run out of Rahane. Indian team lost there 5 wickets in just 32 runs. Indian team managed to get 326 in first inning.

After losing the toss, the Indian team bowled and stopped the Australian team for just 195 runs. After the end of the first day's play, the Indian team scored 36/1. After this, the Indian team has scored a total of 277 runs by the end of the second day's play. Rahane, facing 200 balls with the help of 12 fours, is on the field with an unbeaten 104 and Jadeja scoring 40 runs.

The Indian team performed brilliantly. India's second wicket fell on the second day in the form of Shubman Gill where he scored 45 runs. At the same time, India's second wicket fell as Pujara on the score of 63 runs. At one time, India looked to be in bad shape, but Pujara and Hanuma Vihari played with patience and shared a 52-run partnership off 127 balls. After this, Rahane and Rishabh Pant shared a 57-run partnership off 87 balls.

Australia's team are on the top when Pant was dismissed, but Ravindra Jadeja and Rahane shared an unbeaten 104-run partnership to give the Indian team an 82-run lead by the end of the second day's play.

Rahane completed his 12th century in Test cricket, became 7th captain of india to do so. This was Rahane's 12th Test career and his second century against Australia. Stark completes 250 wickets in Test cricket

Stark took his 250th wicket in Test cricket with Rishabh Pant taking the wicket.

Tim Paine today became the fastest ever to 150 Test dismissals.

Tim Paine took 33 matches for his 150th dismissals and broke the record of Quinton de Knock who toook 34 matches to complete 150 dismissals
