5 international cricketers who died due to injury on the ground, 1 Indian And Pakistani player too!

There have been few players in international cricket who have lost their lives due to injury or any other incident on the cricket field. Some of these players were very young, let's know about them.

1.Roman Lamba.
The former Indian cricketer Raman Lamba was hit by a ball on his head while fielding at forward shot leg during a club cricket match in Bangladesh in 1998. After this, he died after being in a coma for three days. He was only 38 years old at the time of his death. Raman played 4 Tests and 32 ODIs for India.

2. Philip Hughes

Australia's promising batsman Philip Hughes lost his life at just 25 years of age due to an injury on the cricket field. In November 2014, Shaun Abbott's bouncer Hughes fell on the back of his head while batting in the domestic cricket tournament Sheffield Shield, after which he immediately fell on the ground. He died on 27 November 2014 after undergoing treatment for two days. Hughes played 26 Tests, 25 ODIs and 1 T20 International for Australia.

3. Wilfred Slack

Wilfred Slack, who played 3 Tests and 2 ODIs for England, is also included in this list. 15 January 1989 While playing in a match, he suffered a heart attack and fell on the ground due to his anxiety. Due to which he died at the age of 34 only.


4. Wasim Raja
5 international cricketers who died due to injury on the ground, 1 Indian And Pakistani player too!

Wasim Raja, who played 57 Tests and 54 ODIs for Pakistan as an all-rounder, suffered a heart attack on 23 August 2006 while playing for Surrey. During the fielding near the boundary, he was bounced off by Dandy Ducat, due to which he died. Wasim was the elder brother of former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja.

5. Andy Ducat,
Andy Ducat, who played a Test match for England, died in 1942 due to a heart attack in the midst of a match played at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London. After which that match was immediately canceled.
