5 international cricketers who died due to injury on the ground, 1 Indian And Pakistani player too!

There have been few players in international cricket who have lost their lives due to injury or any other incident on the cricket field. Some of these players were very young, let's know about them.

1.Roman Lamba.
The former Indian cricketer Raman Lamba was hit by a ball on his head while fielding at forward shot leg during a club cricket match in Bangladesh in 1998. After this, he died after being in a coma for three days. He was only 38 years old at the time of his death. Raman played 4 Tests and 32 ODIs for India.

2. Philip Hughes
5 international cricketers who died due to injury on the ground, 1 Indian And Pakistani player too!

Australia's promising batsman Philip Hughes lost his life at just 25 years of age due to an injury on the cricket field. In November 2014, Shaun Abbott's bouncer Hughes fell on the back of his head while batting in the domestic cricket tournament Sheffield Shield, after which he immediately fell on the ground. He died on 27 November 2014 after undergoing treatment for two days. Hughes played 26 Tests, 25 ODIs and 1 T20 International for Australia.

3. Wilfred Slack

Wilfred Slack, who played 3 Tests and 2 ODIs for England, is also included in this list. 15 January 1989 While playing in a match, he suffered a heart attack and fell on the ground due to his anxiety. Due to which he died at the age of 34 only.


4. Wasim Raja
5 international cricketers who died due to injury on the ground, 1 Indian And Pakistani player too!

Wasim Raja, who played 57 Tests and 54 ODIs for Pakistan as an all-rounder, suffered a heart attack on 23 August 2006 while playing for Surrey. During the fielding near the boundary, he was bounced off by Dandy Ducat, due to which he died. Wasim was the elder brother of former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja.

5. Andy Ducat,
Andy Ducat, who played a Test match for England, died in 1942 due to a heart attack in the midst of a match played at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London. After which that match was immediately canceled.

After the conclusion of the ODI series, a two-Test series between India and West Indies is also to be played. The first Test of the series will be held in Antigua on 22 August, while the second Test will be played in Jamaica from 30 August. The first test will be played at 7 pm Indian time and the second test from 8 pm. India and West Indies have announced their teams for this series.

Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan, who were part of the tour of Australia, are not part of the team. Mayank Agarwal, who made his Australia Test series debut, will open with his friend KL Rahul.

Talking about the West Indies team, uncapped off-spinner Rahkim Cornwall has been included in the team for the first time.

He is known for his all-round game as well as his heavy body. Cornwall measures 6 feet 5 inches and weighs 140 kg.

On the other hand, if the West Indies win the series 1–0, then India will suffer a loss of 108 points. If India lose 2–0, then it will be 106 points. ICC Test Ranking : Steve Smith left Williamson behind in Test rankings

The ICC has announced the Test rankings after the second match of the Ashes series .This latest ranking also includes figures of Sri Lanka vs New Zealand first test match. Significantly, in 3 innings of 2 Tests played during the Ashes series, Steve Smith has scored 378 at an average of 126.0. During this, he scored innings of 144, 142 and 92 runs.

Steve Smith has moved up to second place in the ICC Test rankings after this spectacular performance.Steve Smith, who scored 92 in the second Ashes Test at Lord's, chasing his twin tons at Edgbaston, has ranked No. 2 in the MRF Tires ICC Test rankings for batsmen.Despite being banned for a year, he is just nine points behind table-topper Virat Kohli.

While Steve Smith sits second with 913 points. Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne has jumped 4 places to enter the top-10. He is ranked eighth with 716 points. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is at third place with a rating of 887. Cheteshwar Pujara (881) is fourth and Henry Nicholls (770) is in fifth place.
